Semiclassical Green functions in mixed spaces

A explicit formula on semiclassical Green functions in mixed position and momentum spaces is given based on Maslov's multi-dimensional semiclassi-cal theory. The general formula includes both coordinate and momentum representations of Green functions as two special cases of the form.

A Note on Mixed Norm Spaces of Analytic Functions

A direct and elementary proof of an estimate of Littlewood is given together with an application concerning the sharpness and strictness of some inclusions in mixed norm spaces of analytic functions.

Semiclassical analysis of Wigner functions

Abstract. In this work we study the Wigner functions, which are the quantum analogues of the classical phase space density, and show how a full rigorous semiclassical scheme for all orders of h̄ can be constructed for them without referring to the actual coordinate space wavefunctions from which the Wigner functions are typically calculated. We find such a picture by a careful analysis around th...

Semiclassical propagation of Wigner functions.

We present a comprehensive study of semiclassical phase-space propagation in the Wigner representation, emphasizing numerical applications, in particular as an initial-value representation. Two semiclassical approximation schemes are discussed. The propagator of the Wigner function based on van Vleck's approximation replaces the Liouville propagator by a quantum spot with an oscillatory pattern...

Semiclassical spatial correlations in chaotic wave functions.

We study the spatial autocorrelation of energy eigenfunctions psi(n)(q) corresponding to classically chaotic systems in the semiclassical regime. Our analysis is based on the Weyl-Wigner formalism for the spectral average C(epsilon)(q(+),q(-),E) of psi(n)(q(+))psi(*)(n)(q(-)), defined as the average over eigenstates within an energy window epsilon centered at E. In this framework C(epsilon) is ...
